Welcome Shadow and Misty!

We added two beautiful new girls to our herd this morning.  Two pretty little 8 week old fainting/pygmy crosses that have just been named Shadow and Misty.  They are going to be part of our core herd, and seem to have really lovely personalities.  I'll add pictures soon once everyone in the goat pen calms down.

Sad, sad news

I am extremely saddened to report that our darling little bottle baby (temporary house goat) Gusty passed away this morning at about 2:30.  He was much loved, and will be missed terribly!  Thankfully, he was able to have 3+ weeks of amazing love and attention, and died cradled in the arms of the one who loved him most. 

Ginner Goats Gone!

Our last two boys, Woody and Smokey, have now been reserved by a wonderful loving home!  They will be enjoying a darling little baby girl (human) and a miniature donkey, as well as two loving parents.  I am so pleased with the homes all of our babies will be going to!  Please stay tuned for new Ginner Goats as our herd grows.  Blue Eyes is still due to kid within the next month.  She is a light cream colored goat with ice blue eyes, just a gorgeous girl!  It's taken a lot of work to get her to be a sociable happy goat, but despite her lack of socialization, she has become a little doll!  Look for updates as our herd gets closer to weaning, especially pictures!  Thanks for looking!

Our Ginner Goat herd!

Just thought I'd share the core herd with you all, it's a fascinating group of goats, all with their own personalities.  We have rock star daddy Junior with all of his women:  Oreo, Snowflake, Status, Blue Eyes, Patches, Frost, 24, Mocha, Lulu, and Daisy.  Our wethers:  Gizmo and my spoiled little house baby Gusty.  Introducing upcoming doeling coming from Brandi at Fallen Timbers Farm:  Xena!  Thank you Brandi, we can't wait to add her to our spoiled group of goats!

Mr. cool rock star Junior is our herd sire.  A more wonderful personality in a billy you will never find!

Ginner Goats Going Fast!

Wow! In only a couple of days all Ginner Goats except for Woody, Smokey, and Gizmo have found new homes!  I have a waiting list, so if there's a particular color or sex you are looking for, shoot me an email and I'll put you on the list so you will have first choice of the next round of kids.  I do have one doe (a light caramel with blue eyes) left to kid, so stay tuned!

We have two wethers born in May that are available to a pet home.  Checkers (black & white) was born May 7 and Gizmo (grey/brown/white) was born May 22.  They are both quite well socialized and sweet boys!  They are both gentle with the babies and are used to the Livestock Guardian Dog.

The adorable black goat is called "Megan", and the gorgeous brown and white goat is called "Banjo".  They are the newest additions to the Ginner Goat herd, born on January 3.
